I felt some vibrations in my feet and I said to myself it might be muscular fatigue or blood pressure, then I realized that the house start shaking and the quake gone a bit hard gradually, I opened the house's door and waited for the earthquake to stop so I can evacuate with my family. After a few minutes we get the news of the source of earthquake was in Ighil, a rural commune in the province of Al Haouz, in the Marrakech-Safi region, Morocco. The magnitude of 7.2 quake made the whole country feel it, there was collapsed buildings in the affected area and the regions especially Marrakesh. I'm writing this after 20Hours from the disaster, The official updates giving the rapport of 1,037 people have been killed and hundreds injured..., 09-Sept-2023 18:59 GMT+.
