In Aug-Sep 2005 My wife Shirley and I,Domenico Vittorini (Born Comune Fagnano Alto, L'Aquila)Visited Relatives My sisre Anna Vittorini-Cordone e famighia in L'Aquila. These are photos taken by my wife during the visit. Some of the photos are exquisite while some few are not so, But they are provided due to their historical or other significance subsequent to the earthquake of 6 April 2009. They are provided to give viewers not familiar with the beautiful City of L'Aquila a view of some of the magnifivent buildings and historical mponuments of the city Most of which have been distroyed. In time I will be sending more photos as I am able to scan and upload to this site. I wouls be interested in finding out from others how badly some of the building in these photos have been damaged. Many thanks to Gilles Mazet-Roux who assisted me in uploading these photos to the EMSC site.

Six months of earthquakes before the Big One! Should has been possible to do anything?! ...the good question.... Now L'Aquila is saddly empty: we miss the Town!! for how long?? ...another good question ....
